Acerage Shifts Next Year?

With corn stocks falling and soybean stocks rising, there could be some significant shifts in acreage for next year. The corn balance sheet suggests a need for more than 85 million acres of corn for 2007, up about 5 million from 2006.

USDA Chief Economist Keith Collins says it will have to go up yet another 5 million by 2010. To get there, corn will have to take some land from soybeans.
