Activists Don't Sway Consumers, Survey Shows

Anti-biotech activists have failed to change consumer attitudes or behavior toward food, according to results of the United Soybean Board's annual Consumer Attitudes on Soy Survey.

The survey shows that, out of the 62% of consumers aware of the term “genetically modified,” only 19% were aware of activist groups linked to the issue. Of that small group, 80% said they have not taken any actions such as boycotting products or writing food companies.
