Argentine Soybean Forecast Increases

Argentine producers planted more soybeans, say American Soybean Association experts. The South American country raised its forecast for 2000-01 soybean production to 26 million tons, up from 25.76 million forecast in July.

That's in line with USDA's early August estimate; the Argentine crop could be 28.7% larger than the previous year's.
