Biotech Grain Handlers Database Updated

The American Seed Trade Association has updated its database of grain handlers accepting biotech corn approved for use in the U.S. but not yet approved for import into the European Union (EU). Growers can access the database at www.amseed.org.

Farmers can search for local grain handlers by typing in zip codes and the distance they're willing to travel. The database locates facilities and, where noted, provides the facilities' grain-handling policies.

Some facilities not listed on the site may accept non-EU approved grain. Growers are reminded to contact grain-handling facilities before delivery to verify any special handling requirements.
