Of course, most farmers a couple of generations ago had much lower yield goals for their corn than the farmers of today. Today, waist-high, or higher, corn by July 4th is a more typical, and has resulted in some very good corn yields in most areas in recent years. It is difficult to get exceptional corn yields in the southern half of Minnesota, if corn is only knee-high or smaller on July 4.

Focus on Ag

http://cornandsoybeandigest.com/blog/corn-waist-high-4th-july#comments Corn corn production Focus on Ag Tue, 30 Jun 2015 13:26:00 +0000 99021 at http://cornandsoybeandigest.com WTO ruling challenges COOL regulations http://cornandsoybeandigest.com/blog/wto-ruling-challenges-cool-regulations

In response to the latest WTO ruling, legislation has now been passed by the U.S. House of Representatives that would eliminate the COOL requirements for beef, pork, and chicken muscle and ground products; however, the U.S. Senate has yet to act on the legislation.
