Commodity Classic app available for 2014 show

RSS

Now available for download: the 2014 Commodity Classic show mobile app! If you're going to be one of the hundreds upon hundreds of farmers at the show, you should definitely take advantage of the free app and download it to your smartphone. The download itself doesn't take long, and then you have schedules and maps and exhibitor info right at your fingertips!

You can also access a mobile-friendly web-based version of the app.

I went into the schedule and picked out the sessions I wanted to attend, which adds them to a calendar on the app, so you can see what your itinerary is each day of the Classic. You can also add personal events to a "to-do" list available in the app.

Shuttle schedules are available if you're staying at a hotel outside of walking distance, and there are maps of the conference center and surrounding hotels where other sessions and meetings will be held. Really, if you download the app, you shouldn't need to tote around extra schedules and printouts of things. You can just grab your phone and go.

On a side note, if you want to take notes on your phone or tablet, I recommend EverNote (iPhone or Android). Using that, you can access your notes from the web and from your device. You can add tags and you can search. It's really quite handy and easy to use. The only thing I've found is that once you save and close a note, you can't go back in and make changes (if anyone knows how to do this, please, let me know!). But, you can create as many notes as you like.

So, please, if you're heading out to the show, download the app. You'll be glad you did! And, don't forget to stop by the Corn+Soybean Digest booth at the trade show! We'd love to see you! We're in booth 3037,  near the Case IH display.
