Brazil Delays Biotech Bean Approval

Brazil's Agriculture Minister, Marcus Vinicius Pratini de Moraes, has reportedly delayed marketing approval of biotech soybeans in the near future, according to ASA.

Quoting a Brazilian newspaper, ASA says that Pratini de Moraes, at a National Agriculture Confederation meeting, said, “As there are judgments still pending, we shall only issue registration (for Monsanto soy) when these judgments have been resolved.”
