Bt Rights Battle Ends

The legal fight between Dekalb Genetics Corp. and Dow AgroSciences, regarding the use of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) insect-resistance technology in corn, has been resolved, according to both Dow and Dekalb.

Dekalb had alleged that Dow's pipeline Bt corn products, including Herculex I insect-resistant corn, violated Dekalb patents that cover various technologies involving the use of Bt in corn. Dow will license the right to sell Herculex corn and the pipeline Bt product.
