Case IH Introduces New 4WD Tractors

Case IH STX Series Steiger four-wheel-drive tractors feature new advancements in steering, diagnostics, track design, comfort and serviceability, yet they handle like most advanced two-wheel drives.

"These tractors add new dimensions to four-wheel-drive maneuverability, performance, versatility and comfort," says Jan Rintamake, director of application marketing for the company's cash grain segment.

Ranging from 275 to 440 hp, the STX275, STX325, STX375 and STX440 feature full-authority fuel injection engines to monitor and continuously optimize engine performance.

The design also features a lengthened wheelbase and drawbar to increase stability and improve the pull angle, and a larger tire and wider track option to improve traction.

All four engines are rated at 2,000 rpm. Also, the series features the industry's only 16-speed powershift transmission.

The 440-hp STX440 has the highest-available engine horsepower, with up to 43% engine torque rise and 40-hp power growth.

AccuSteer precision steering - available on the STX275 and STX325 - allows the front frame to pivot independently of the articulation steering, creating a more intuitive and more precise steering option. The turning radius is 12.4'.
