DOE To Use More Biodiesel

The Department of Energy (DOE) has announced that it will use energy-efficient technologies and increase the use of alternative fuels, such as biodiesel, in an effort to meet the President's goals of reducing the federal government's energy consumption.

DOE will begin using B20 in all vehicular and non-road diesel equipment in 16 centrally fueled fleets. That will reduce the agency's petroleum diesel usage by 18% and meet nearly 41% of its total goal, according to the American Soybean Association.
