Syngenta developed FarmAssist®in 2001 as one of the first online tools designed to instantly connect growers and retailers to a broad range of agricultural resources and crop production information. Now, a decade of technological advancement later, the Growing Digital blog can help educate those in the agriculture industry on how to stay connected with each other, share information and develop their own voice within social media. “This blog is about sharing our wealth of knowledge in this area,” said Moore. “And by taking the time to share this knowledge, we may be able to help our partners grow their business, help their communities and advance agriculture.”
Features of the Growing Digital blog include a series of instructional articles with tips on social media topics, ranging from setup and available platforms to the difference between business and personal use. It includes video instructions on creating an account and engaging in various social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook. Topics will be based on the user’s level of social media experience so that the beginner as well as the advanced social media user finds useful information. New information will be added to the site each month.
