HERBICIDE REGISTERED FOR USE ON COTTON

Suprend herbicide from Syngenta Crop Protection received EPA registration for broad-spectrum control of broadleaf sedges and grass weeds in cotton.

A non-glyphosate based herbicide, Suprend is a combination of trifloxysulfuron sodium (Envoke) and prometryn (Caparol). It offers growers a new tool for weed control in both conventional and Roundup Ready (RR) cotton systems.

Suprend is labeled on picker cotton varieties and can be applied post-directed on cotton that is usually 6 in. or taller through lay-by at 1-1.5 lbs./acre.
