2011 Crop and Storm Damage Photos

Hail damage

This photo was sent in by Bob Recker, Cedar Valley Innovation, Waterloo, IA. The storm lasted 35 minutes and offered up some large hail (see next photo in gallery). In this 17-foot strip, out of 67 plants, there were 8 with "serious damage" like the one in this photo.

Winds were so strong, even grain bins fell victim to the storm that ripped from South Dakota to Wisconsin on July 1, 2011. This bin is east of Lake Benton, MN.
