After the drought this year, many farmers are likely thankful for crop insurance. "Most farmers carry some level of crop insurance," says Kent Thiesse, CSD columnist and former Extension educator. We talked to Thiesse about crop insurance in 2012. Here he goes over coverage options, indemnity prices and stresses the importance of communicating with your crop insurance agent and having proper documentation of losses.
