Milan No-Till Field Day Set For July 27

The 20th Annual Milan No-Till Field Day will explore a variety of topics important to surviving and thriving in today's ag environment. The field day will be held July 27 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the North Tract of the Milan Experiment Station.

Dr. Jack Britt, University of Tennessee Vice President for Agriculture, will speak at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. on "New Ways of Doing Business - Tennessee Agriculture in the 21st Century." He will address the fact that producers need to be connected directly to the consumer - ideally with marketing alliances or with other marketing strategies.

As always, the event will feature a large number of commercial and educational exhibits as well as an equipment demonstration. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the latest in ag equipment and innovations and talk one-on-one with industry representatives.

Weather permitting, the equipment demonstration tour will feature farm equipment in operation on a field at the end of the North Tract.

For more information on this field day or other Experiment Station events, visit the station's Web site at http://web.utk.edu/~mlnnotil/ or call the Milan Experiment Station at 901-686-7362.
