DuPont, through its subsidiary Pioneer Hi-Bred International, is moving ahead on commercialization of its proprietary Optimum GAT trait (known as soybean event 356043), using technology called gene shuffling. DuPont announces that its new proprietary glyphosate- and ALS-tolerant trait would be branded as Optimum GAT, and is targeted for commercialization in soybeans in 2009 and in corn in 2010.
