Ag Technologies International and Iowa State University have signed a re-seller agreement in a collaborative effort to market the university’s Crop Adviser Institute course library to crop advisers nationwide.

Formed in July 2002, the Crop Adviser Institute ( www.cai.iastate.edu) is one of the leading online training resources for Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) to gain continuing education credits (CEUs) for their continued certification. There are 13 agronomy-and-production e-learning courses available online for CCAs to take for CEUs and plans for an expanded curriculum in the future.

Dr. Richard Carter, a member of the Crop Adviser Institute Executive Committee at Iowa State University, says that a primary driver in their decision to partner with Ag Technologies International is the company’s ability to better enable them to maximize the reach of their mission.

"Our mission first and foremost is to serve the people of Iowa and to reach out to as many certified crop advisers as we can," says Dr. Carter. "With its contacts within agribusiness, Ag Technologies International allows us to greatly extend our reach to serve crop advisers who serve farmers."

Currently a CCA can earn up to one-half of their CEUs using online training resources such as those available through the Crop Adviser Institute. But with more than 15,000 CCAs throughout North America, Iowa State is looking for Ag Technologies International to help them get the word out on the time and cost savings of earning CEUs through a resource such as the Crop Adviser Institute.

"It’s a win-win situation for both organizations," says Ag Technologies International Vice President and ISU agronomy alum Kevin Born. "We’re excited to be partnering with one of the most respected land grant universities in the country and to help them better fulfill their mission to educate crop advisers, for the betterment of agribusiness and consumers in general."

Ag Technologies International is a division of Adayana, an industry-leading e-Learning company with operations in the U.S. and India that serves clients in the agribusiness, engineering, financial, food, government and medical industries. For more information, visit www.adayana.com.
