No Early out for CRP

Don't expect any early-out for Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) acres this year. USDA says it's “too late” to allow penalty-free early withdrawals in time to affect 2008 crop plantings. Early release will be reconsidered ahead of the 2009 crop season.

About 7 million of the 37 million acres now enrolled in the CRP are less erodible and considered suitable for corn production.
