No First-Partial CCP

USDA announced there will be no counter-cyclical payments (CCP) for corn and soybean growers during the first disbursement period. Expected farm prices for the 2002 crops are above levels that would trigger CCP. Rates will be re-estimated in January and a second CCP may be issued to producers. The payment is scheduled for up to 70% of the projected CCP.

The first partial CCP for upland cotton is .048ยข/lb.
