Pioneer Postspones Stacked Corn Hybrids

Pioneer Hi-Bred International has postponed sales of six corn hybrids that contain a combination of YieldGard and LibertyLink genes.

Company officials say the hybrids have full food and feed approval in all major markets except the European Union.

"As the industry leader, we've chosen to take steps that will help our customers market their grain with confidence in the 2001 growing season," says Pioneer President Rick McConnell. The company will market more than 200 hybrids this year, including hybrids that individually contain the YieldGard and LibertyLink genes.
