Case IH Updates High-End Sprayer

Utilizing the cab from the STX Steiger four-wheel-drive tractor, Case IH relaunched their signature self-propelled sprayer in July with enhanced operator comfort and efficiency.

The SPX 4260 Patriot sprayer cab features 67 sq ft of glass and ergonomically positioned controls for operator convenience. Other upgrades include improved liquid handling systems, enhanced lighting and an exterior operator locker for storage.

The SPX 4260 comes with an optional Ag Information Manager (AIM) system, which allows operators to manage droplet size by varying pressure independent of speed or flow, resulting in better drift control.

New Case IH Planter Launched

Case IH has taken the seed size variable out of the seed selection equation with its new planter.

The 1200 series Advanced Seed Meter (ASM) planters feature an 11 ¾" vacuum controlled seed disc that will plant seed ranging in size from 33-68 lbs.

The ASM technology provides separate discs for corn and soybeans that operate independent of seed size. In addition, Case IH states that slower seed disc rpm in the new planter provides greater accuracy at higher planting speeds with no seals or fingers to adjust or replace.

An added feature for the 12- and 16-row pivot transport units includes a 12' 6" trailing width with optional liquid fertilizer tanks.
