Case IH Launches Four New Tractor Lines
Case IH announces four new lines and upgrades for tractors ranging from 40 to 240 pto hp.
The MX series Magnum tractors are the row crop workhorses, ranging from 170 to 240 pto hp. According to the company, they're enhanced with a suspended front axle, performance monitor, positive response seat and redesigned transmission and engine that provide smoother shifting and increased fuel efficiency. They're also ISO 11783 precision farming system compatible.
The MX series cabs are made from a soy polyol from Bayer. About 27 lbs of soybeans go into every cab roof.
Prices for the MX series Magnum's run from $101,000 to $159,000. Circle 1 on Reader Service Card.
The MXM series Maxxum row-crop tractors range from 95 to 160 pto hp and feature a clutchless, left-hand shuttle, joystick operation and mechanical or hydraulic self-leveling loaders. The MXM series is designed for heavy field work with a 7.5-liter turbocharged engine, 18×6 full powershift transmission, end-of-row functions and a headland management control system.
Prices for the MXM series Maxxum's run from $50,000 to $97,000. Circle 2 on Reader Service Card.
The Maxxima family of utility tractors include a JX series and a JXU series.
The JXU series range from 66 to 82 pto hp and offers three powershift transmission options, including a 24×24 two-speed powershift that uses an electronic-over-hydraulic powershuttle for fingertip control. The tractors, says Jim Irwin, vice president of Case IH North American ag business, “are designed to meet the day-to-day needs of dairy and cow-calf operations — whether it's loader work, mowing and baling hay or field cultivation.”
Prices for the JXU series Maxxima's run from $30,573 to $56,177. Circle 3 on Reader Service Card.
The JX series utility tractors range from 42 to 80 pto hp and are available in either two-wheel drive or mechanical front-wheel drive configurations with a cab or flat-deck ROPS. This line is suited to hobby and lifestyle farmers.
