President's Budget Maintains Farm Bill's $73.5 Billion

President Bush's budget includes, over 10 years, $73.5 billion in farm bill funding, says House Ag Committee Chair Larry Combest (R-TX).

“President Bush has stood by his commitment to agriculture in his budget, and he makes clear that the next farm bill will not be shortchanged, front-loaded or mortgaged against the full 10 years of funding,” he says. “It is my hope that the President's budget will expedite the new farm bill.”
