TAMPA, FL, March 3, 2011 – During the 2011 Commodity Classic in Tampa, Florida, BASF Crop Protection highlighted strategies that enable growers to produce the highest yield from their crops and build better returns in 2011.

BASF recently announced a comprehensive portfolio plot research study demonstrating that use of a portfolio of BASF products (including Kixor® herbicide technology,Headline® fungicide,Headline AMP™ fungicide andRespect® insecticide) can provide a 9.1 bu/A increase in soybeans and a 33.3 bu/A increase in corn.1,2 BASF representatives are available throughout the trade show to discuss these results, and the benefits of the BASF crop protection portfolio.
In addition to sharing their innovative portfolio with visitors, BASF has a variety of activities in booth 1236 throughout the show, including live performances by noted corporate magician Jon Petz, complimentary fruit smoothies and special giveaways.
