St. Louis, Missouri - (Month 00, 2008) Shoppers looking for the perfect gift for the fashion-forward teens on their shopping lists can now purchase trendy apparel online while helping to raise scholarship funds for high school and college students pursuing an education in agriculture.
Visitors to the DEKALB WingWear™ Web site can browse the latest line of DEKALB WingWear men’s and women’s long- and short-sleeved graphic tees, jackets and accessories. Proceeds from these fashions will help fund the DEKALB Ag Youth Scholarship for ag students who demonstrate strong leadership skills and community involvement.
“We continue to receive positive feedback on our apparel from ag youth, who like the designs because of their style and also because they have special meaning to those in agriculture,” says Dan Buescher, Associate Brand Communications Manager for DEKALB. “As always, this holiday season, each and every DEKALB WingWear sale goes toward helping the next generation of leaders in agriculture achieve their educational goals through scholarship.”
Launched in 2007, DEKALB WingWear is a full line of custom-designed graphic apparel and accessories for young men and women. A portion of all sales help fund the DEKALB Ag Youth Scholarship, awarded to high school and college students pursuing agricultural degrees. The inaugural class of 10 DEKALB Ag Youth Scholarship recipients were announced in the summer of 2008 and are featured on the DEKALB WingWear web site.
