Agco recently launched a number of new farm implements, from high-horsepower tractors to a new planter to new sprayer models.
The RoGator RG900, RG1100 and RG1300 offer Tier 4 interim-compliant 8.4L diesel engines. All machine service points are accessible at ground level. A new, longitudinal A suspension creates sharper turns and the front axle has been repositioned to improve weight distribution. Modifications to the boom plumbing and air aspirators provide faster on and off times. The fuel-tank capacity has increased to 150 gal.
Cab noise levels are quieter, and boom and sprayer switches are conveniently located on the arm rest. The RoGator Management Center includes a larger display screen and reporting on engine, transmission and fuel performance. RMC also is capable of controlling track adjustments automatically or manually. For more information go to www.applylikeapro.com.
The new Challenger MT500D series tractors range from 170 to 225 hp and are powered by Tier 4-interim diesel engines. The new series can be outfitted with System 150 auto-steering technology and the AGCOMMAND telemetry system providing real-time tractor performance information. The TechStar continuously variable transmission delivers clutchless, stepless shifting. The Power Management continuously monitors engine load, adjusting the engine and transmission to deliver optimum power and improved fuel efficiency. An AutoPower VI (partial powershift) transmission is also available.
A new feature is the OptiRide Plus hydraulic cab suspension system. Inside the cab the Datatronic tractor-management center offers greater performance and functionality and increased legibility to accurately monitor and adjust tractor and implement settings. Massey Ferguson introduces the new 7600 series tractors. The new mid-frame row-crop tractors range from 170 to 225 engine hp and are powered by Tier 4 interim-compliant diesel engines. Available with a Dyna-6 (24-speed, partial powershift) or Dyna-VT (CVT) transmissions, the 7600 series also uses Dynamic Tractor Management for greater communication between the engine and gearbox, automatically adjusting load for consistent power and improved fuel efficiency.
The OptiRide Plus cab suspension system is new. A right-hand control armrest, new multipad control and new multi-function joystick provide easy-to-reach fingertip control. The Datatronic display offers greater performance and functionality. For more information, go to www.masseyferguson.com/tractors.
The 9900 series air carts are new from Sunflower. Constructed of stainless steel for an extended life span, the new series carts combine large tank capacities with a seeding system designed to enhance seed placement accuracy. There are three models with capacities up to 525 bu. The largest model can be configured with a tow-between or tow-behind setup.
The blower system is hydraulically driven, and seed and fertilizer compartments remain under positive pressure during operation to ensure accurate product flow to the meter system. An ISOBUS control module allows the entire system to be monitored and controlled from the cab. For more information, go to www.sunflowermfg.com.
White now offers the 8936-30, a 36-row planter with 30-in. row spacing equipped with 30x67-in. rubber transport tracks plus four large-gauge wheels on each wing to reduce compaction. The heavy-duty frame is built with wing flex to ensure consistent seed depth and folds to a 15-ft. transport width. Each section flexes up to 21° up or down.
The new planters can carry 150 bu. of seed in the central-fill system. Three-section variable-rate hydraulic seed drives are controlled by a microprocessor, and the planter offers pneumatic row-unit down pressure and GPS-compatible auto row-shutoff as standard equipment. Two optional 750-gal. tanks can be mounted for liquid fertilizer application.
