RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Corn producers are not only looking for crop inputs to control yield-robbing pests; they’re looking for crop “solutions that pay,” says Jeff Springsteen, Bayer CropScience marketing manager
for corn and soybean selective herbicides.
Springsteen explains producers are adopting the company’s new chemical rebate program: “Bayer CropScience recently launched the Innovation Plus™ Program, in which farmers can earn points to redeem for cash or merchandise,” he says. “With more than 200 items to choose, growers can cash in their points for an array of electronics, farm/shop, outdoors, personal or home items.”
Through the Innovation Plus Corn Program, growers who purchase 250+ acres of one or more Bayer CropScience selective herbicides can rack up significant points. Specifically, farmers can earn the cash equivalent of $1.60/A back on Corvus®, $1.00/A on Balance® Flexx, $0.85/A on Capreno® and $0.70/A on Laudis® herbicides. Growers should see the Corn Program description for more details.
The Corn Program allows growers to earn points regardless of their corn trait system, as selective herbicides can be tankmixed with Ignite® herbicide, glyphosate or other herbicides.
