Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack spoke at the annual Commodity Classic on March 2. Among his hot topics and area of concern are opportunities for beginning farmers. As the average age of farmers increases, Vilsack wants to do more for those who are just starting out, from crop insurance adjustments to possible tax breaks.
