Two new disk harrows from Case-IH, Racine, WI, provide superior residue management and a consistent, level field finish. Model RMX340 manages light to medium-heavy residue. RMX370 is an all-purpose unit that creates a level working surface in high crop-production environments and dryland conditions.
Both use the shallow concavity Earth Metal blades mounted at 18° angles. Twenty-inch blades are set at 7.5" spacings for the RMX340; for heavier residue, 22" blades with 9" spacings can be used. For the RMX370, 24" blades are set with 9" spacings.
Great Plains Manufacturing, Salina, KS, introduces a new line of seedbed conditioners for use behind a field cultivator or finisher. They offer adjustable reel sections to match the width of the host machine.
The line also offers up to 150 lbs/foot of down pressure for increased clod and root ball breakage.
Lindsay Manufacturing, Lindsay, NE, expands its Greenfield line of small-field irrigation equipment by introducing the Greenfield 4 Mini-Pivot. Easy to install, it can operate on slopes up to 15% using a bowstring truss design. Standard models use 24-volt control circuits and high-efficiency, ⅛-hp, 90-volt DC motors.
A caddy unit designed to couple the 1-tRIPr strip-till system with a three-point mounted planter creates a mobile, pull-type seeding system. From Orthman, Lexington, NE, the 1-tRIPr Combo Caddy accommodates multiple fertilizer tanks. That enables an operator to prepare a seedbed, incorporate multiple chemicals at specific depths and plant all in one pass.
