The Earthquake disk ripper shatters hardpan 12-18" deep, mixes crop residue 4-6" deep and smoothes the soil for a level, uniform seedbed, according to Unverferth, Kalida, OH.
The front disk gangs feature 24" shallow-concave blades that cut at an 18° angle for residue sizing and mixing. The 24" rear disk gang blades can be set from 14-16° to meet individual soil surface needs.
Parabolic-style deep-till shanks are set for 4,380 lbs of trip pressure and are adjustable in 1" increments. Shank arms feature 6" lateral movement.
The unit's 7- and 9-shank models have 30" shank spacings, with 24" spacings on the 10-shank model. Winged points are also available for greater shattering action.

The mid-size 2- and 3-shank subsoilers are built for durability and are competitively priced, according to Brillion, Brillion, WI.
Designed as companions to the 1- and 2-shank subsoilers, the units loosen compacted soil to 21" using a narrow 90" frame design. The welded steel frame double bar allows infinite spacing up to 80" between shanks on a 2-shank model and up to 40" on a 3-shank model.
Both units feature iron shanks with reversible wear strips and 2"-wide points, as well as heavy-duty shank clamps. The 3-shank subsoiler features a choice of standard length or high-clearance shanks.
