The new Rhino 700 features a 686-cc engine with Yamaha fuel injection. The liquid-cooled, four-valve SOHC powerplant is fired with electric start and has Yamaha's Ultramatic automatic transmission.
For tough spots, the 2008 Rhino has on-command push-button 2WD/4WD with differential lock. It also features more than 1 ft. of ground clearance, and a 7.9-gal. fuel tank.
For creature comforts, the new Rhino has a 12-volt accessory outlet, padded bucket seats with headrests and a standard digital meter with self-diagnostic capabilities, voltage meter and hour meter functions. Passenger grab handles and cup holders also come standard, along with a noise and dust shield behind the seats. The cargo bed can hold up to 400 lbs.

Great Plains now offers two new air carts with 350-bu. capacity: ADC2350 (pull between) and ADC2350B (pull behind).
The ADC2350 features a semi-mounted cart-to-implement design, allowing the implement to float behind the cart. This shortens the overall length of the air drill by up to 15 ft. for better maneuverability. The ADC2350B rides on lugged flotation tires and offers unmatched flotation and excellent implement versatility, Great Plains says.
Both models are equipped with two 175-bu. poly hoppers, allowing users to fill both hoppers with seed for fewer stops. Or, fill one hopper with seed and the other with fertilizer to reduce field passes. The models also feature pressurized and compartmentalized meters to ensure equal seed amounts to all towers and even seeding across the entire drill width.

Great Plains became a full-line tillage equipment company with the introduction of the 3000 and 4000 series disk harrows. Six models range in cutting width from 23 to 36 ft. in 3-ft. increments. They offer reliability, optimum weight per blade and a level, finished surface.
The new disk harrows feature 6-gauge disc blades; a 20° angle on the front gangs and an 18° angle on rear gangs; spring C-shank bearing standards, and wings that flex up 14° and down 9° for terraces and rolling terrain.

Yetter is introducing spike closing wheel scrapers, attachable to its spike closing wheels. The scraper cleans the spike as it exits the soil, reducing buildup on wheels. Especially effective in no-till fields, the scraper is designed to work in tough conditions and prevents mud build-up in damp soil. The scraper has a teardrop shape and is made of high-carbon steel.

Trimble introduces the AgGPS 442 GNSS receiver, a global navigation satellite system (GNSS). The new receiver can track GLONASS and next-generation global positioning system (GPS) L2C satellite signals.
The new GLONASS and GPS L2C processing capability from Trimble improves signal availability for high accuracy real-time kinematic (RTK) agricultural applications that rely heavily on “Z,” or vertical axis satellite positioning data. It also aids RTK applications in geographic areas with limited periods of GPS signal availability.

Raven Industries has released the SmartBoom automatic boom control system.
Using “spray” or “no spray zone” areas, it automatically turns the boom section off if the boom section is in a previously applied area, eliminating overlaps. It also eliminates skips by turning boom sections back on after leaving a previously applied area.

Ag Leader Technology, Inc.,introduces the AgGPS EZ-Guide 500 guidance system. It features a large, easy-to-read 7-in. color display and a built-in lightbar with 31 guidance LEDs that are highly visible even in bright light. The display provides users an “overhead,” or “perspective,” view of the operation while the map view provides a real-time, color coverage map. The unit supports multiple guidance patterns and also records data from field operations that can be transferred to a PC viaa USB flash drive.
