A spray hood from Wylie Manufacturing, Petersburg, TX, protects non-Roundup Ready cotton and other crops while spraying the middle with contact herbicides.

Three nozzles provide full coverage under the aluminum hood, which is mounted on parallel arms and a rotating tube for easy servicing.

Hoods are available for 30" and 40" rows and are readily adaptable to existing Spray Shield units.

Front-End Loaders

Six Case IH L “5” Series front-end loader models offer several enhancements and 13 standardized attachment options for better versatility and productivity.

Improvements include a 400% increase in bucket cylinder down force, as well as an improved location for loader-control and self-leveling valves. A tower hose guide positions loader hoses for increased visibility. The company's two-way hydraulic self-leveling system remains a key feature.

A Quick Coupler attachment and two types of high-capacity buckets are among the options.

Tractor Series

The 5000 Twenty Series tractors offer a long list of upgrades over the 5000 Ten Series, according to John Deere.

Upgrades include a choice of three platforms; improved visibility, hydraulics and cab environment; larger fuel tank; and several pto and transmission safety features. Options include SyncShuttle transmission, clutchless PowerReverser and a mid-mount hydraulic valve with joystick control. The four models range from 45 to 75 hp.
