COMPACT TRACK LOADER

Case IH introduces a pair of compact track loaders — the 445CT and 450C. The 445CT offers 74 net hp with a lift capacity of 3,500 lbs. The 450CT delivers 82 net hp and a lift capacity of 3,857 lbs. The 445CT offers power reach vertical lift, while the 450CT has a power cycle radial arm configuration for high-production and faster cycle time.

The undercarriage includes a tapered designed for the frame cover combined with steel mud scrapers to help keep water, mud and debris from damaging the track area. Track components are protected by a large spring mounted to the front idler. Four triple-flange rollers, combined with single-flange front and rear idlers, maintain track alignment while operating on side slopes.

In addition to large displacement, high torque Tier II engines, these models feature a 95 amp alternator for reliable starts.

APPLICATION CONTROL MODULE

Ag Leader Technology, Inc., adds a new application control module called DirectCommand to its INSIGHT display. The DirectCommand system allows applicators to control application rate directly from the INSIGHT display, eliminating the need for a separate in-cab application controller.

The DirectCommand system connects directly to supported brands of flow meters and valves and controls up to 10 boom valves for either manual or automatic boom section control — with both motorized and solenoid-type boom valves.

A 10-boom switch box for manual boom section control is also available, as well as an auxiliary input module that connects built-in boom and master switches in self-propelled sprayers and other vehicles.

SEED TRANSFER SYSTEM

Gandy Company introduces a pressurized seed transfer system that delivers seed from the bulk tank to individual row hoppers.

The seed system is offered in both tow-behind and implement-mounted models. It allows carrying reduced weight in the row box to provide greater control of planting depth, and, in some cases, has eliminated the need for individual row boxes. Delivery will shut off as the seed covers the delivery tube. The seed transfer system hoppers, with available capacities of 24, 40, 64, 80, 96 or 120 bu., can be filled by bulk bag and will individually feed 8-36 rows.

SPRAY NOZZLES

Turbo TeeJet Duo and DG TwinJet spray nozzles by Spraying Systems are designed to provide thorough plant coverage for effective treatment of Asian soybean rust.

Featuring a dual flat spray pattern, the Turbo TeeJet Duo provides better canopy penetration and coverage than single flat spray nozzles and produces larger droplets for greater drift control. The operating pressure range is 15-90 psi and a 60Þ, 90Þ or 120Þ included angle between spray patterns can be used depending on tip configuration.

The DG TwinJet provides good leaf coverage and canopy penetration. The nozzle uses a pre-orifice in conjunction with a dual orifice to create two identical flat spray patterns with a 60Þ included spray angle between them. The nozzle produces finer drops than the Turbo TeeJet Duo, but larger droplets than standard twin-spray nozzles, to help minimizes drift. DG Twinjet nozzles have an operating pressure range of 30-60 psi.

WELDING GENERATOR

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. introduces the new Miller Legend 302 gas engine-driven welding generator. It's the only low-speed generator to produce 5,500 watts of peak power and 5,000 watts of continuous power at 1,800 rpm. In addition, exclusive multi-speed welding reduces noise. The generator has a rated output of 240 amps/25 volts at 3,000 rpm (73 dB) and a rated output of 300 amps/25 volts at 3,600 rpm (75 dB).
