DuPont Pioneer recently announced the new T Series soybeans. During the announcement, they talked about refining the soybean breeding process using their Accelerated Yield Technology (AYT) system. While it "doesn't shorten the breeding process, it makes what is put into the system much better," says Jessie Alt, DuPont Pioneer soybean breeder and research scientist. Alt talks here about the breeding process, how AYT helps, molecular markers, the soybean genome and the Pioneer IMPACT program.
