Okay, the ag community isn't exactly screaming for another Web site. But we've made some significant changes to ours and want to tell you about them.
If you haven't seen the new Soybean Digest Web site at www.SoybeanDigest.com, it's worth a look.
In addition to the current issue of the magazine and special features like our Corn and Soybean Weed Control Guides and risk management special reports, we now have new features updated weekly.
“SoybeanDigest.com is just like another page in our magazine. You can expect the same type of feature articles that discuss ways to grow better crops and run your business more efficiently,” says Greg Lamp, Soybean Digest editor. “The Web site features will be shorter than our regular magazine features. We know you don't want to spend all day reading a computer screen.”
In addition to feature articles, you'll find our regular magazine columnists at www.SoybeanDigest.com. Trends editor Dave Kohl writes a weekly column with anecdotes about what's on farmers' minds in the areas he has traveled. An unabashed sports enthusiast, Kohl will include sports picks and commentary as well.
Readers who follow Moe Russell's risk management advice in his RiskWise column can find more of Russell at the new Web site. He'll be writing a short column with risk management ideas on a weekly basis.
What's a Web page without market advice? We'll be updating the page each week with market perspective from one of our marketing editors, Rick Brock.
We hope to add a few more columnists to the list as our new Web site grows. Make sure you check in and get their latest advice and perspectives.
For daily news, markets and weather updates you can check out www.AgriClick.com — our parent Web site. You'll also find features developed specifically for our Internet readers. Kansas State University ag economist Bill Tierney writes a monthly column for the site. And more are in the works.
In addition, you'll discover that Soybean Digest is just one of nine farm magazines published by Intertec Publishing. When you're at the AgriClick Web site, you're just one click away from other magazines that cover crop and livestock production from coast to coast.
If you reach out just a little farther on the Web to www.IndustryClick.com, you'll find that Intertec Publishing produces a host of magazines that affect your business daily, from trucking to communications. Those publications also are just a click away.
So, when you're surfing the Internet, make www.SoybeanDigest.com a regular stop. It's worth a bookmark.
And, watch for the icon on stories in the printed magazine. They're clues that more information and details can be found on our Web site: www.SoybeanDigest.com.
