$3 MILLION FOR BRAZIL FARM FUND

Capitalizing on investor interest in Brazil, Hertz Farm Management has raised $3 million in a secondary offering for its Hertz Brazil Farm Fund, according to the Farmland Investor Letter.

Launched in May 2004, the fund raised $7.3 million last year and farms 7,410 acres of soybeans and cotton in western Bahia. The Nevada, IA, company used the new funding to acquire 3,087 acres of cotton land.
