Not only is U.S. weather more of a concern, but there is also more talk that the USDA may have overestimated last years production. The corn bulls report too much moisture in many locations is causing shallow root systems and loss of nitrogen. The corn bears continue to talk about the possibility of the USDA delivering a couple of bearish blows in the form of increased planted acreage and record setting quarterly stocks.

Grain Market Viewpoint

http://cornandsoybeandigest.com/blog/whats-ahead-usda-report-corn-and-soybeans#comments Marketing Forward Contracts Futures Hedge-to-arrive Hedges Marketing and Promotion Options Grain Market Viewpoint Fri, 26 Jun 2015 21:02:00 +0000 98981 at http://cornandsoybeandigest.com 3 Factors pointing to less soybean acres http://cornandsoybeandigest.com/blog/3-factors-pointing-less-soybean-acres
As a producers, I believe the best-of-practice is to remain patient and keep all hedges in place. By contrast, grain marketing decisions in 2014 and 2015 have become much more difficult, with continued declining prices that are sometimes below breakeven levels. The current scenario for grain prices makes it more important than ever for farm operators to have a solid grain marketing plan in place, which is part of an overall farm risk management strategy.

Focus on Ag

http://cornandsoybeandigest.com/blog/low-corn-soybean-prices-challenge-farmers#comments Corn Marketing Soybeans Prices Focus on Ag Tue, 09 Jun 2015 15:55:00 +0000 98391 at http://cornandsoybeandigest.com Current corn, soybean prices in long-term perspective http://cornandsoybeandigest.com/marketing/current-corn-soybean-prices-long-term-perspective
Source: University of Illinois

Experts at the University of Illinois went back 100 years and examined corn prices, soybean prices and wheat prices, then divided them by the Consumer Price Index.
