USDA Offers CRP Contract Extensions

Conservation Reserve Program contracts that were supposed to expire this September may be extended for another year, USDA announces. Participants with contracts expiring on Sept. 30, 2002, have from Jan. 14 to May 31 of this year to apply for the one-year extension. Around 30,000 contracts are affected.
