$11.9 Billion Proposed For Housing, Investment

President Bush's proposed 2004 budget for USDA programs and services includes $11.9 billion for rural development programs.

The proposal includes $4.1 billion for direct and guaranteed single family housing loans in rural America. The $1.3 billion increase will provide 49,000 new home ownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income families in rural areas.
