BASF teams up with Farm Plan™ to offer special 2010 financing

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, February 23, 2010 – BASF and Farm Plan™ have teamed up to help growers maximize their investments in a volatile economic time.

Under the special 2010 program, growers can finance their purchase of two or more crop protection products from BASF, such as Headline® fungicide or a Kixor® herbicide technology product through Farm Plan with zero percent interest and no payments for the next 180 days. To take advantage of this special offer, growers need to make a purchase using their Farm Plan account by July 15, 2010.

Financing terms and conditions

This offer is available to Farm Plan Preferred accountholders with a special terms credit limit. In order to qualify for this financing offer, growers must make an initial minimum purchase of $10,000 which must be comprised of at least two different BASF products that are greater than $1,000 each; additional products are not subject to a minimum amount. Headline Advantage available for 2010 purchases

In addition to special financing options through Farm Plan, qualified growers may save up to $75 per gallon on their 2010 purchase of Headline fungicide.

Headline Advantage offers qualified growers who purchase Headline fungicide for the 2010 season returns for every gallon purchased from authorized BASF retailers:

• If purchased by May 15, growers may receive $75 per gallon back

• If purchased by Aug. 15, growers may receive $50 per gallon back
