There's now a new tool to help take the guesswork out of figuring direct payments, counter-cyclical payments, marketing loan assistance and other farm benefits.
The National Corn Growers Association announces a Farm Bill Guide and Calculator, developed in cooperation with the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development. You can input county loan rates to get the big picture.
The calculator is at www.ncga.com. Once downloaded, you can input operation-specific information and find out what benefits you'll receive.
