Farmers Benefit From Gifts Of Grain

Many generous farmers have learned that donating grain rather than cash can produce tax savings of over 50%. A free service, Gifts of Grain, makes it easy for charitable farmers to get those tax benefits.

Grain is donated to a Donor Advised Fund, the grain is sold and the cash dispersed at the direction of the donor. One grain donation can be distributed to multiple organizations. Money stays in the account until distribution;so this fund is also a good way to “prepay” giving.

Donor Advised Funds are provided and managed by the National Christian Foundation (www.nationalchristian.com), one of the country's largest and respected charitable organizations. More information about Gifts of Grain is available at www.giftsofgrain.org.
