A longtime Mississippi County Extension agent and former Southeast Farm Press Editor, Harris Barnes, has released a new book. The Beauty of Southern Agriculture, a 144-page coffee table book, has more than 250 images and covers many major and minor crops of the southern states.
Barnes, who was a farm manager for 25 years before launching his ag journalism career, says he sought to capture the “best of producers and their crops” in his latest book.
