Soybean Meal, Oil Exports Jump

U.S. soybean farmers exported the equivalent of 316 million bushels of soybean meal in the 2001-02 marketing year, which concluded Sept. 30. Meal exports were up 4.3%, or the equivalent of 13 million bushels compared with last year.

The U.S. also exported the equivalent of 165 million bushels of soybean oil during the last marketing year, an increase of 150% compared with last year.
